Tools:
Google:
*To see what pages are indexed in Google: Use the "site:" prefix. Example - in the Google search bar type: site:bona-floor-resources.com. Google will NEVER show all the pages it has indexed, or all the incoming links to a particular site.
*To see when the last time Google has spidered one of our sites, Log-in to our Google account, and click on the My Account link (Usually in the upper right hand corner). This will bring up a list of services we have active. At the bottom of the page, click on webmaster tools. Click on the Diagnostic tab, and look under the summary page. This will show you when we were last crawled, and any errors Google has found while crawling our site.
*To check the ranking on a keyword in Google (Also checks MSN & Yahoo) goto GoogleRankings.com. You need to sign up for a Google API key. Matthew has one that you can use, but you are limited to 1000 queries /day. The query may take a couple of minutes, so be patient.
*Compare links between several different sites on Google(Similiar to Submit Express's Link Popularity Analyzer). This is located on Li'l Engine.com.
Yahoo:
*To see what pages are indexed in Yahoo: Use the "hostname:" prefix. Example - in the Yahoo search bar type: hostname:bona-floor-resources.com. Keep in mind that Yahoo now uses a API setup for these type of queries. For a more detailed explanation, you can go directly to Yahoo's API, called Yahoo Site Explorer.
At this time there is no way of finding when Yahoo has last spidered a website.
*To check the ranking on a keyword in just Yahoo, goto YahooSearchRankings.com
MSN:
*To see what pages are indexed in MSN: Use the "site:" prefix. Example - in the MSN search bar type: site:bona-floor-resources.com.
